Gender Trust - UK

Transgender Day of Remembrance
The Transgender Day of Remembrance was set aside to memorialize those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. The event is held in November to honor Rita Hester, whose murder in 1998 kicked off the “Remembering Our Dead” web project and a San Francisco candlelight vigil in 1999. Since then, the event has grown to encompass memorials in dozens of cities across the world.

The USP is an independent, science-based public health organization, which is the official public standards-setting authority for all prescription and over-the-counter medicines, dietary supplements, and other healthcare products manufactured and sold in the United States.

The GEA is a national organization focused on the needs, issues, and concerns of gender variant people in human society.


Gender Public Advocacy Coalition (Gender PAC)
Gender PAC works to end discrimination and violence caused by gender stereotypes by changing public attitudes, educating elected officials, and expanding human rights.


Human Rights Campaign (HRC)
Founded in 1980, HRC is America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender civil rights organization. It provides a national voice on GLBT issues, effectively lobbies Congress, mobilizes grassroots action in diverse communities, invests strategically to elect a fair-minded Congress, and increases public understanding through innovative education and communication strategies. HRC is a bipartisan organization that works to advance equality based on sexual orientation, gender expression, and sexual/gender identity to ensure that GLBT Americans can be open, honest, and safe; at home, at work, and in the community.


International Foundation for Gender Education (IFGE)
The IFGE is a non-profit advocacy organization founded in 1987. Its purpose is overcoming the intolerance of transvestitism and transsexualism brought about by widespread ignorance. Since then, as our own consciousness evolves, we have rededicated ourselves to outreach through education for the emancipation of all people from restrictive gender norms.


Intersex Society of North America (ISNA)
The ISNA is devoted to systemic change to end shame, secrecy, and unwanted genital surgeries for people born with an anatomy that someone decided is not standard for male or female.


National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE)
The NCTE is a national social justice organization devoted to ending discrimination and violence against transgender people through education and advocacy on national issues of importance to transgender people.


National Transgender Advocacy Coalition (NTAC)
NTAC works for the advancement of understanding and the attainment of full civil rights for all transgendered, intersexed and gender variant people in every aspect of society and actively opposes discriminatory acts by all means legally available.


PFLAG Transgender Network
Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons, their families, and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.


Tennessee Equality Project (TEP)
