9th Anniversary/Holiday Party

The Vals celebrated the holidays at our 9th Anniversary party, held December 10th at the Embassy Suites/ Airport.  It was a classy affair, with so many sequins and rhinestones, the Grand Ole Opry had to import more from Vegas.

With almost 50 in attendance, it was quite a festive evening.  Cosmonaut Bob and Chrysis Monaco entertained, and our bartended got rich.  Our guest speaker was Rainey Pollos, co-chair of O.P.E.N. (Our Pride Encompasses Nashville) who accepted with his Co-Chair Deb Marshall this year's "Transie Award". O.P.E.N. was chosen for its efforts to include the TG community in all GLBT events in Nashville. Vanessa Comet received the semi-coveted "I've Busted Down the Door and I'm Not Going Back in the Closet Award" (a.k.a. the Golden Doorknob Award).
